Research On Floating Population Social Integration Under The Background Of Household Registration System Reform

Since the 1980 s,our country's floating population has been pouring into cities,which has made a great contribution to the development of urbanization.At the same time,the problems of floating population in urban life have attracted wide attention of the whole society,especially the obstacles of social integration,which has a negative impact on the long-term living of floating population in cities,and will also hinder the construction and development of our country.The household registration system plays a vital role in the process of social integration of the floating population.China is restricted by the long-term dual urban and rural household registration system,and the floating population in the process of social integration in the city is hindered by the multiple household registration system,resulting in other difficulties.Although the household registration system is constantly reformed and perfected,there are still a series of practical problems,which make the floating population face certain difficulties in the process of social integration.Therefore,based on the background of the reform of the household registration system,this paper makes a series of studies on the current situation of social integration of the floating population in Zhengzhou,and puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions.This paper analyzes the social integration of floating population groups with different household registration status in Zhengzhou by using the methods of literature reading and questionnaire,and selects five measuring indexes from three dimensions: economic integration,cultural integration and social public service integration.Subsequently,this paper analyzes the reasons for the difficulty of social integration of the floating population and finds that objectively,it is mainly due to the obstruction of the existing household registration system,which is the most fundamental reason,and the various supporting social systems related to the household registration system are not perfect,which will also hinder the process ofsocial integration of the floating population;subjectively,the floating population in urban life in the lack of communication with the outside world,narrow social scope,and their own low level of quality and professional skills,their own integration will be inadequate,which will affect their social integration.In view of the above problems and reasons,the paper puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions in order to help promote the smooth integration of floating population into the urban society,so as to better promote the overall construction and development of Zhengzhou City.The analysis and research on the social integration of the floating population in Zhengzhou is of great theoretical and practical significance for the development of this city,and can also provide some reference for other cities in the country.
