Research On The Idea Of China’s Participation In Global Governance Since Reform And Opening-up

The trend of development of world history shows that no country in the era of globalization can close the door to build,and must conform to the world trend in order to achieve prosperity and development.In 1978,China has made a major decision to implement the policy of Reform and Opening-up in accordance with the changes of domestic and foreign situations.Then China has actively participated in the global governance led by the West and has strived to create a favorable external environment for socialist modernization.In the practice of global governance,China has fully absorbed the excellent Chinese traditional culture,Marxist thought on international relations and diplomatic concepts since the foundation of New China.Based on this,China has made a creative transformation and development,forming the idea of China’s participation in the global governance.As the latecomer to global governance,China has participated in a gradual way,which has experienced three stages:cautious participation,in-depth participation and guiding participation.In the stage of cautious participation,China advocates equality and democracy in international relations based on national sovereign security and economic and social development;At the stage of in-depth participation,China adheres to peaceful development,and advocates building a harmonious world and promoting the reform of global governance mechanisms;At the guiding participation stage,China closely takes the development pulse of the times,actively promotes the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind and upholds the global governance concept of extensive consultation,joint contribution and shared benefits,contributing Chinese wisdom and Chinese proposals to improve the global governance practice.Since the Reform and Opening-up,China’s idea of participating in global governance has been characterized by innovation,inclusiveness,nationality and cosmopolitanism.At the same time,it also has great practical and theoretical significance,not only creates a peaceful and stable development environment for the building of socialism with Chinese characteristics,but also enriches and develops the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics.It contributes Chinese wisdom to the theory and practice of global governance and points out the direction for the evolution of human political civilization.
