Images Of China And Chinese In Young Kazakhstan People's Eyes

The purpose of this study is to investigate the image of China and Chinese from the Kazakhstan young people's perspective,and to investigate the information channels that influence how they build these images.This research adopts the method of literature research and questionnaire survey.From the literature research,it has been seen that Kazakhstan young people's opinions of the Chinese image can be divided into several aspects.Preliminary investigations have provided information on China's national image and the Chinese image.The survey was carried out on 258 young people from Almaty No.27 and No.77 High Schools,Kazakh International Language College and Kazakh National Pedagogical University and the youth who have studied or are studying in China at the moment.The study found that Kazakhstan's young people have a positive impression of China as being very strong in international-trade,as having a responsive economy,a world-leading economy,as having hardworking citizens and as having a patriotic society.They are also seen as being culturally diverse and as having many,historical mysteries.It is especially seen as having a culture that is worthy of attention,having low commodity prices,effective policies and a unique system,and as being a location that is worth traveling to.Young people in Kazakhstan can accept Chinese as being close friends.But in the minds of the two groups,there is a clear gap between the evaluation of each dimension in China and the degree of acceptance of Chinese people.Among the information channels that affect Kazakhstan young people's image of China,the main information channels that have positively influenced their image of China have been the relatives and friends who have been to China or learned Chinese,the internet,teachers and people who have been in contact with Chinese.
