Research On Citizens’ Identities In "Village-to-Residence" Community Based On Urban Governance

"Village-to-residence" construction is an important part of advancing China’s new urbanization process.As China’s urbanization process continues to accelerate,the problem of passive urbanization is becoming increasingly prominent.The urbanization of the population falls behind the urbanization of land.The urbanized people don’t behave like a citizen,which seriously hinders the "village-to-residence" community governance and residents’citizenship.In the process of "Village-to-residence",the contradiction of land acquisition compensation and residents’ resettlement contradictions produce.Because "Village-to-residence" community has not yet formed the urban community governance model,it still follows the governance model of rural village committees,which results in low level of "village-to-residence" community governance.At the same time,it prevents the residents of the "village-to-residence"community from integrating into urban life and increases the risk of social instability.Therefore,how to promote the people in "village-to-residence" community to become a citizen is an important issue,which need to promote balanced urban development,and improve the quality of urbanization.Based on the policy requirements and realistic background,the passage understands the general situation and construction requirements of the "village-to-residence" community.Then the passage does empirical research on the citizen identity of residents in "village-to-residence" communities in Qingdao by using participatory observation and in-depth interviews.At the same time,community governance theory,identity theory and social role theory was used to analyze the subject.By inquiring to the "village-to-residence" community in Qingdao,the passage found many problems,such as the transition and complexity of the "village-to-residence"community and the low level of community governance.The effectiveness of community governance has not met the expected requirements,which leads to the problems of "village-to-residence" community.At present,the residents of the "village-to-residence" community are in a crisis of ambiguity,separation and ambivalence.Therefore,in order to promote the residents of "village-to-residence" community into urban life,enhance citizen identity,and promote high-quality development of urbanization,the article argues that the government needs to provide policy support and guidance,improve the land acquisition compensation and social security system,enhance re-education training;the "village-to-residence" community needs to strengthen grass-roots party organizations and cultural construction,increase residents’participation,and promote the integration of new and old residents;the residents actively change their ideology and improve their employment skills and cultural literacy.Promoting the citizen identity of the residents in the "village-to-residence"community is an important part of realizing people’s urbanization,which is related to the quality of urbanization and social stability.Therefore,the government,community and residents must strengthen cooperation and work hard to find a feasible way to enhance the citizen identity of the residents in "village-to-residence" community.They have to improve the happiness and gain of the residents of the "village-to-residence"community to promote urbanization,the urban integration of "village-to-residence"residents and urban governance.
