Study On The Terrorism Of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor

The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor(CPEC)was proposed by Premier Li Keqiang during his visit to Pakistan in May 2013.It aims to further deepen bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy,energy and security and promote common development of the two countries.At the end of the same year,President Xi Jinping proposed the "One Belt And One Road" development initiative.Subsequently,the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor was included in the "One Belt And One Road"development initiative master plan and became the flagship project of the "One Belt And One Road" initiative.The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,as " pioneer" of the" One Belt And One Road" initiative,provides a model of regional cooperation in the areas of political mutual trust,bilateral mutual benefit and win-win cooperation,which helps to maintain promote Pakistan's domestic development and China's energy security,and achieve prosperity and stability in South Asia.The CPEC is of great reference and guiding significance to the promotion of policy communication,facility connectivity,unimpeded trade,financial integration and popular support between China and neighboring countries along the " One Belt And One Road"With the construction of the infrastructure of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and the development of cooperation in related fields,China's overseas interests in Pakistan are increasing.However,the security situation in the areas along the CPEC is not optimistic,and complex terrorist activities pose severe challenges and threats to the security of Chinese projects and personnel.Therefore,the key to ensure the development of the CPEC is to study the terrorism problems of CPEC and put forward policy Suggestions to deal with the threat of terrorism along the economic corridor.This paper starts with the terrorist threat faced by the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,analyzes the main terrorist organizations along the CPEC and their threat to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,discusses the characteristics of terrorism along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,and further explores the causes of terrorism along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.Then this paper introduces the current anti-terrorism progress of CPEC and points out the problems and challenges in the process of anti-terrorism along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.Finally,based on the root causes of terrorism along the CPEC and the existing problems of the two countries in anti-terrorism along the CPEC,this paper proposes policy Suggestions to deal with the threat of terrorism along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.The core issue of this paper is how to take appropriate countermeasures in the process of building China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in the face of the threat of terrorism along the CPEC.On the one hand,we can see that there are some problems and deficiencies in the process of fighting against terrorism along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor at this stage,which requires both sides to take more pragmatic,flexible and effective countermeasures against the weak links in their anti-terrorism at the tactical level.On the other hand,we should also be aware of the domestic and international roots of terrorism along the economic corridor between China and Pakistan,as well as the problems and challenges existing in the process of fighting against terrorism along the CPEC,which objectively determines that the governance of terrorism along the CPEC is a long-term and systematic project and cannot be accomplished overnight.Therefore,at the strategic level,it is necessary to further deepen bilateral cooperation between China and Pakistan,treat both the symptoms and root causes,take multiple measures,and fundamentally eliminate the soil of terrorism along the CPEC.At the same time,it's also necessary to strengthen regional anti-terrorism cooperation,cooperate with each other and jointly govern,work together to fight terrorism along the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor,and maintain regional security and stability.
