Comparative Study On The Regional Anti-terrorism Cooperation

Terrorism has a long history, terrorist crimes in the modern sense have appearedin the21st century, but it is increasingly becoming as a serious crime, has paid moreattention since1960s. Some people indeed regarded it as one of the three majorthreats which are the human beings is facing along with the political corruption andenvironmental pollution. The crime of terrorism pose a tremendous threat to worldpeace and development is a serious international hazard. So in the context ofglobalization, anti-terrorism needs cooperation, states should not and can not stay outof anti-terrorism. Rising trend of threat of International terrorism require to preventand control the terrorism within the scope of worldwide. At present, the latestdevelopment of international terrorism has presented organization and modernizationtrend. Multilateralism provides an effective framework for international anti-terrorismcooperationThe field of counter-terrorism, at present, regional cooperation has been regardedas a kind of new security, development and strategic thinking ability, because of theglobal cooperation is often too large to conduct the cooperation, contact procedureslong, and complex technical operation, so the specific solutions for cooperation oftenhas the difficulties for coordination in practice, so the regional co-operation isbecoming one of the significant form of anti-terrorism cooperation in recent years. inrecent years, the effectiveness and advantages of regional cooperation is moresignificant. Especially among countries which with similar cultural traditions andpolitical philosophy, anti-terrorism cooperation carried more successfully.In this paper, i would like to analyze starting from the definition of terrorism, tothe major regional counter terrorism cooperation within the worldwide, then in thebasis of these anti-terrorism measures of those regions in the process of anti-terrorismcombat, and reasonably draw lessons from these measures, after that will have a detailed discussion on the issue of terrorism, counter-terrorism measures andcounter-terrorism cooperation between China and Central Asia which have closerelationship in the geopolitical and economic, political and cultural aspects.
