Research Report On Community Correction

In the last 50 years,the system of community correction has evolved into an important judicial system,which has been widely used and developed in western countries.China’s community correction pilot work began in 2003,starting late in the world in a relatively backward position,so the study of community correction system is of great significance.The implementation of the community correction system not only reflects the trend of socialization with the international execution,but also reflects the principle of implementing leniency and severity in penalty in China,and can save a lot of execution costs.Starting from the comprehensive investigation and understanding of the practice of community correction in shaoyang county justice bureau,this paper finds some problems in the community correction process in shaoyang county,analyzes the causes,and puts forward some Suggestions for improvement.At present,the main problems in community correction practice in shaoyang county are as follows: firstly,the community correction law is not sound,community correction cannot be followed,and community correction institutions are not well connected with other relevant departments.Second,the pre-trial social investigation is not standard,the investigation procedure is suspected to be illegal,the investigation lacks legal support;Third,the community correction work security is insufficient,mainly in the professional community correction team strength is weak,community correction hardware security is poor;Fourth,supervision is not standard,supervision measures become a mere formality,correction effect is poor.To solve the above problems,the author stood in a long engaged in the perspective of community correction workers in township judicial offices,think first of all should perfect the legal system construction,regulating the regulatory activities of community correction,straightening out relations with other relevant departments,the community correction institutions work unimpeded cohesion mechanism,thoroughly change the status of community correction can’t can depend on;Secondly,standardize social investigation and let it play its due role.The third is to strengthen the publicity of social correction,improve public awareness,and obtain more support and recognition from social forces.Finally,to strengthen the security of community correction work,especially the construction of the team and the guarantee of funds.
