Research On Social Work Involvement In Social Support Network Of Rural Elderly

With the deep development of population aging,the cause of aging is increasingly affecting the sustainable and healthy development of Our country.Affected by the intensification of urban siphon effect,hollowing out of rural areas,the core of family structure and the change of traditional pension concepts,the aging problem of rural population in China is more serious than that of urban population.The rapid growth of elderly population,empty-nesters and low security situation have brought great challenges to families and social pension.With the decline of the family's elderly care function and the lack of care in rural communities,the rural elderly have a huge demand for elderly care services.The report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that it is necessary to “continuously make new progress in providing for the elderly”,which provides an opportunity for social work to use its professional advantages to intervene in the service of rural elderly.This article mainly cuts in from the social support network of the elderly in rural areas,studies the elderly in village D in Meizhou City,and understands the social support that the elderly in rural areas can obtain from the surrounding living environment.It is concluded that the elderly in this village have insufficient social support in health care,spiritual consolation and leisure.Through the use of community work in the professional method of social work,we will intervene in the practical activities of the social support network for the elderly in village D,carry out community publicity to create a community service atmosphere,link volunteer resources,unite associations and clan and organize community activities to provide caring for the elderly Attentive service to meet the needs of the rural elderly,improve the social support network of the rural elderly,and create a livable environment of “respecting the elderly,helping the elderly”.On this basis,it discusses the professional advantages of social work in providing rural elderly services and building social support networks,and summarizes good practical experience in social work intervention to further improve the level of serving the elderly.It should be noted that the village D social work project also faces the lack of professional capacity of social workers and the constraints of the rural objectiveenvironment.To improve the social support network for the elderly in rural areas must rely on the strong support of all parties in the society.
