Research On Community Policing Grid Management

Community grid management is an increasingly popular social governance method,which meets the needs of building safe cities.Community policing grid management means doing community policing work using the method of community grid management.By using the resources inside the community grid,the police can identify problems,and possible conflicts inside the grid in a timely manner and solve them in an efficient way,realizing the goal of preventing and combating crime.This way of policing is useful for public security management,maintaining social order and serving the people.In this paper,this author conducted a case study of the community policing grid management in Haidian District,Beijing,employing the theory of collaborative governance,seamless government and delicacy management.The paper analyzed how Haidian District integrates the work of two working stations,the safety building working station in the comprehensive management center of public security in the streets(towns)and the working station of police affairs in the community police station,including the two 's establishment settings,equipment,functions,how they work in an integrated way and the outcome of this integration model.By comparing the Haidian model and the experience of community policing in other cities,the author further provided suggestions on how to improve community policing grid management from the perspective of institutional building,material support and social security.This paper offered a solid case of how the police increasingly integrates into the grass-roots social governance system and improves its capacity as the reform deepens.
