Research On Tactical Intelligence Support Capability Of Chinese Peace Keeping Force In New Era

In recent years,as the military strategy “stepping out” advances,a more active attitude towards UN Peace Keeping Operations was adopted by Chinese government,which leads to a significant increase of the number and types of peacekeepers from Chinese army.Due to terrorist international proliferation,the adjustment and expansion of UN peacekeeping mandates,the peacekeeping forces are faced with greater danger when operate in field,which pose a urgent need on the troops` tactical intelligence support capability which can be conducive to assist avoiding risks and securing the troops` personnel.However,the Peacekeeping Force currently faces a dilemma on its tactical intelligence support.while intelligence coming from Peace Keeping Mission headquarter and other sources can not fully meet the troops` tactical intelligence need,the troops themselves couldn’t manage to fulfill their tactical intelligence need either,due to lack of capabilities in collecting,analysis and awarenessIn correspondent to the challenges posed by deteriorating peacekeeping environment and new types of tasks,it is of great necessity to improve the troops` tactical intelligence support capability by both facilitating the Peacekeeping Force with sufficient resources and hardware for tactical intelligence and fostering the troops` actual tactical intelligence support capability,so as to reduce operational risks.
