Research On Supporting Social Organizations To Implement Capacity Building

The emergence of supporting social organizations has built a bridge of communication between the government and social organizations,enterprises and social organizations,and at the same time has provided practical guarantee for the professional cultivation of social organizations.But at present,the supporting social organizations in our country are still at the initial development stage,and there is still much deficiency in promoting the rapid development of social organizations and improving the ability of social organizations to participate in social governance,etc.Therefore,it is particularly important to explore how to strengthen the capacity building provided by supporting social organizations for community social organizations.This paper adopts the method of qualitative analysis,based on the case of the capacity building projects which is provided by the social organization service center in J Street for community social organizations within its jurisdiction,and analyzes the problems and difficulties faced by the development of current community social organizations.It mainly discusses the role of supporting social organizations in improving the ability of social organizations,namely,it is specifically manifested in building a reasonable social support network in two aspects of resource link and organization management guidance which can promote the standardization and specialization construction of community social organizations effectively.The study finds that there are three major problems with the current supporting social organizations: firstly,they are too dependent on government funds and their own ability to link resources is weak,so they lack independence;secondly,they are hard to be trusted and recognized by community residents,so they lack public credibility;the third is that the organization team is not perfect,the practical operation ability of the project is insufficient,so they lack professionalism.According to these problems,this paper makes suggestions on how to develop and perfect the capacity building of social organizations,emphasizing that supporting social organizations should improve their ability to link resources and promote the communication amongsocial organizations,strengthen the cooperation with enterprises and broaden the sources of funds to improve their social support network;secondly,supporting social organizations should strengthen their own talents construction,actively helping community social organizations excavate the backbone and volunteer resources of the community,and improve the organization's own hematopoietic function;finally,they should strengthen the cooperation between the government and the society,weaken the government's restriction on social organizations,and at the same time,they should strengthen the evaluation mechanism to regulate the healthy and sustainable development of social organizations.This paper is expected to enrich and perfect the supporting social organization service platform and the ability building of community social organizations,further promote the ability building and development of social organizations,standardize and specialize social organizations,provide reference for the follow-up research.
