Research On The Construction Of Community Volunteer Linking Network Of The Elderly Living Alone

In the process of social aging,the group of elderly people living alone has been expanding.The traditional family pension model cannot fully meet the elderly's needs for living alone,and it needs the support of China's social pension resources.How to provide effective social support for the elderly living alone in the community is the direction explored by many experts and scholars.There are five kinds of support networks for the elderly in the community: personal networks,volunteer linking networks,mutual assistance networks,neighborhood assistance networks,and community empowerment networks.Among them,the volunteer linking networks is mainly applicable to elderly people with weak personal support systems.However,the development level of community volunteers in most regions of China is still relatively low.Therefore,it is an important task for social workers to build a volunteer linking network who serve the elderly living alone to enhance the social support of the elderly living alone in the community.This paper discusses this.This paper takes the S community in C city as an example,and uses questionnaires and semi-structured interviews to investigate and analyze the status and problems of elderly people and volunteers living in S community.problem.Community volunteer support status has limited services,low frequency of services,and poor service continuity.To address these issues,under the guidance of social support theory,this paper develops a service plan,uses social work to conduct volunteer training,enhances volunteer service capabilities,and makes full use of volunteers' own advantages to participate in one-on-one support services for elderly people living alone A volunteer linking network for the S community was formed.The research process used action research methods to complete the linking network between the volunteers and the elderly living alone through action intervention to optimize the life of the elderly living alone.However,there are still some problems in this process.How to give full play to the power of volunteers,build a more comprehensive volunteer linking network,and form a reproducible volunteer linking network to serve more elderly people in need in the community,need further exploration.
