In recent years,the public opinion about the overtime work of government functionary groups is often seen in the media.People's daily and Guangming Daily have published special comments one after another,directly criticizing the current situation of "5 + 2" and "white plus black".The current situation of overtime work of government functionary groups needs attention.At present,some local and unit organs have no boundary standard for all kinds of work.Regardless of the priority,all around the intention and preference of leaders,they have formed a variety of "excessive overtime".Based on the summary and analysis of the current situation of overtime work at home and abroad,this paper obtains the first-hand data of the current situation of overtime work of the government functionaries in the government departments directly under Guangdong Province through investigation and field research.Through comparative analysis of the data,it is found that the current situation of overtime work of the government functionaries in the government departments directly under Guangdong Province is relatively common,with 9 1%of the cadres have to work overtime every week.It is found that there is a significant difference between the age of the provincial government officials and the situation of working overtime at home.The frequency of working overtime at home of the public servants under40 years old is significantly higher than that of the public servants over 40 years old.There is a significant difference between the indicators of unit type,the number of working days and the frequency of working overtime.There is a significant difference between the indicators of weekly rest days and the indicators of the public servants in the government departments,The average overtime days and weekends are obviously more than the party's working organs,people's organizations,public institutions and provincial enterprises.The main problems of the overtime work of civil servants are the increasingly tense family relationship,the sub-health signal from the body,the compression of interpersonal relationship and social activity space.By summing up the of working mechanism,opposition to formalism,improvement of individual ability level and promotion of system implementation,countermeasures and suggestions are put forward.The party and government organs should set up the correct work orientation,pursue the substantial effect of work,change the work style of "only time theory";establish and improve the scientific and reasonable performance evaluation system,not to discuss heroes by overtime,not to pursue the visualization and quantification of evaluation.In the social and family aspects,we should build a perfect social support system,improve the organizational support,build andstrengthen social support,and help build family support.As for the civil servants,we should optimize their working skills,enhance their personal skills,strengthen the heart to heart talk between the superiors and subordinates,enrich the quality and level of cultural and sports activities,and reduce the physiological and psychological pressure brought by overtime work.
