A Case Study On Evidence-Based Community Correction

Since the implementation of community correction in 2003,community correction in China has achieved rapid development,but problems such as simplification of correction methods and one-sided correction forms are also gradually exposed,which makes the community correction become a mere formality.The third plenary session of the 18 th CPC Central Committee put forward the overall goal of deepening reform in an all-round way,that is,to perfect and develop the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and to promote the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity.As an important part of the country's grass-roots governance,community correction must solve the problems of simplification of correction method and one-sided correction form,which is necessary for the realization of the modernization of the governance system and governance capacity.In order to solve the problems existing in community correction,social work is introduced into District H to carry out evidence-based community correction.Because of the scientific and effective nature of evidence-based correction,it is necessary for District H to carry out this work to meet the requirements of the era of judicial governance development and solve the problem of insufficient allocation of community correction personnel.At the same time,the application of evidence-based correction in China's prison correction,the establishment of District H correction database and the study of evidence-based correction make the development of evidence-based correction possible.The social work in District H carries out correction service by case service.Therefore,under the guidance of RNR model and social support theory,this paper analyzes how to select and determine the service object,how to make and implement the correction plan and how to evaluate the correction effect for the four cases of evidence-based community correction.Based on this,it is concluded that the development of evidence-based community correction in District H has the beneficial experience of paying attention to the role of social resources and social support system to form a standardized evidence-based community correction case process,and also has the problems of low professional level of correction team and imperfect correction subject.In addition,the introduction of social work in zone h to carry out evidence-based correction is conducive to promoting the specialization of social work,the development of evidence-based social work education,and the improvement of professional quality of social workers.It is found that when providing services for community correction objects,social workers can use cognitive behavioral therapy,family therapy and strengthens perspective to solve the criminal needs of community correction objects according to different criminal needs such as employment,harmful groups,cognition,marriage and family.At the same time,it can also improve the effectiveness and pertinence of community correction,solve the problems of unitary correction methods and unilateral correction forms,and promote the development of community correction.
