Research On The Intervention Of Social Work In Mental Care For The Elderly Disabled

With the deepening of aging in China,the number of the elderly disabled is also on the rise.The old disabled people,who have both the characteristics of the old and the disabled,are the double vulnerable groups.With the continuous development of China's economic and social undertakings,the material living standards of the elderly disabled are gradually improving.At present,all sectors of society focus on the elderly disabled to meet the material life level of the elderly disabled,and few people pay attention to the spiritual needs of the elderly disabled.Old disabled people are suffering physically,but also mentally.However,due to various reasons,the elderly people with disabilities seldom take the initiative to express their inner pain,which makes negative emotions unable to be released.In such a state for a long time,it is easy to cause the elderly disabled to lose hope for life,which is extremely harmful to the physical and mental health of the elderly disabled,and the mental care of the elderly disabled is worrying.How to meet the spiritual needs of the elderly disabled and improve the mental care of the elderly disabled is the focus of this paper.The purpose of this study is to use the professional theoretical knowledge and working methods of social work to intervene in the elderly disabled groups,explore ways to improve the spiritual care of the elderly disabled,and promote the development of social work for the elderly disabled.Social work is a major of helping people.It has its unique advantages to use social work to intervene in the mental care of the elderly disabled.In this paper,G community elderly disabled people as the research object,using social support theory,demand level theory and activity theory to explore how to meet the spiritual needs of elderly disabled people,through questionnaire survey and household interviews,to understand the basic living conditions and mental care of elderly disabled people in the community.Through the investigation,the author found that there are some problems in the mental care of the elderly disabled in the community.The common problems of the elderly disabled are: the emotional needs can not be met,the spiritual life is relatively single,and the social interaction is insufficient.Using the methods of case work and group work in the professional methods of social work,and based on the theory of social support network,the paper establishes the goal of work,combines the respective situations of the service objects,intervenes in the service of mental carefor the elderly disabled,and achieves the goal of meeting the mental needs of the elderly disabled and improving the mental care for the elderly disabled.Through the research,it is found that it is feasible and meaningful for social work professional methods to intervene in mental care services for the elderly disabled.Finally,through the summary and reflection in the process of practice,combined with the theoretical knowledge learned,and the research on the existing literature,this paper puts forward suggestions for the mental care of the elderly disabled.
