Study On Police-related Network Public Opinion Crisis Management

The public security organ could easily be the centre of attention because of its special position and function.The stagnant mechanism of early warning and analysis,and the single guiding means of public opinion have been unable to adapt to the spreads speed of public opinion in the network era,which would inevitably lead to even bigger crisis if police-related public opinion is allowed to spread.Therefore,in order to eliminate the influence of public opinion,the public security organ must take effective measures of crisis management to control the development of public opinion.On the base of domestic and foreign research results,in this paper,not only the forms,types and characteristics of police-related public opinion are outlined but also the development of police-related network public opinion crisis is described through 31 hotspots,focusing on the management of police-related network public opinion crisis as well as starting with the subject,object and field of police-related network public opinion.And the aforementioned problems,the problems and causes of police-related network public opinion crisis management are also dissected.Furthermore,the conclusions are got that police-related network public opinion not only plays an active role in promoting policing concept innovation and work efficiency,deepening the interaction between the police and the public,but it also plays a negative role in affecting the social stability,making the relationship between police and public in danger,and weakening the legal authority.Finally,the 4R(that is,reduction,readiness,response and recovery)model of police-related network public opinion crisis management and its corresponding plans,working mechanisms and techniques are proposed based on the theoretical model of 4R crisis management,which is helpful to carry out public opinion crisis management for the public security organ.
