Study On The Willingness Of Low-age Old Men To Participate In Community Volunteer Service And Its Influencing Factors In Shi Jiazhuang

People born at the peak of China’s population are about to age,and this process will continue for more than ten years.The process of aging is unstoppable,but the elderly group still contains valuable resources,especially the younger elderly in terms of time,energy and economy.They have unique advantages and can be used as the focus of development.In recent years,our country has paid more and more attention to the development of grassroots communities.Community voluntary services are of great significance to improve community services and enhance the function of community autonomy.The community volunteer service has played a significant role in Shijiazhuang’s city creation and epidemic prevention and control.Elderly people are important participants.Therefore,studying the current situation of Shijiazhuang’s elderly people participating in community voluntary services,and analyzing the influencing factors that affect the willingness of young people to participate in community voluntary services,and then summarizing ways to improve the willingness of young people to participate in community voluntary services are of great significance to the young people themselves,and the community as well as to the social development.This article first systematically sorts out related literature both at home and abroad on the elderly,community volunteer services,and senior citizens’ participation in voluntary services,which lays a foundation for later research.Secondly,by reading monographs and literature and combining with the actual situation of Shijiazhuang city,the author defines the two core concepts of “young elderly people” and “community volunteer service”,and expounds the theory of active aging,Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory and activity theory.Then,based on the existing scholars’ research,this paper builds a model of the influencing factors of the willingness of the young elderly people in Shijiazhuang to participate in community volunteer service,and proposes research hypotheses and research designs.After that,an empirical analysis is carried out.In the empirical analysis,this article first performed descriptive statistics on the sample to understand the current status of Shijiazhuang’s the young elderly people participating in community volunteer services;then chi-square test was carried out for8 demographic variables;then,factor analysis was used to reduce the dimensions of 15 variables.After scientific extraction of four factors,multiple linear regression was performed through using the scores of the four factors.It has been confirmed that capital factors,incentive factors,support factors,and volunteer service activities all have significant effects on the willingness of the young elderly people in Shijiazhuang to participate in community volunteer service.Finally,this article draws the conclusions based on the results of empirical analysis,and proposes suggestions for increasing willingness.Based on the empirical results of the factors affecting the willingness of the young elderly people to participate in community voluntary service in Shijiazhuang,the conclusions of this article are as follows: Firstly,there is a disconnect between the willingness of the young elderly in Shijiazhuang to participate in community voluntary service and their behavior,and their awareness of community volunteer service is low.Secondly,age,marital status,cultural level,political outlook,work status,work nature,and community type all have a significant impact on the willingness of them to participate in community volunteer service.Thirdly,capital factor,incentive factor,support factor and volunteer service activity factor all affect the willingness of the young elderly to participate in community volunteer to different degrees,among which the volunteer service activity factor has the most profound influence.Accordingly,this paper puts forward some suggestions from the level of the young elderly themselves,the level of community organizations,the level of the government and the level of society,hoping to provide ideas for promoting the willingness of the young elderly in Shijiazhuang to participate in community voluntary services.
