A Study On The Role Dilemma Of Judicial Social Workers

In recent years,with the continuous development of China's judicial system and perfect,especially after the juvenile judicial system reform,the sin of minors education involved is not confined to the judiciary,judicial social work is an important social force,in intervention involved crime minors education correction effect obviously and reduce crime again.However,as a new field of social work,judicial social work also has many problems that need to be solved urgently,such as unclear role positioning of judicial social work and deviation of other subjects' cognition of judicial social work,which all impede the development of judicial social work to some extent.In this context,the role of judicial social workers needs to be re-recognized.From the perspective of social role theory,this paper studies the judicial social workers in H institution and the different subjects involved in the assistance and education of minors involved in crimes.Through field observation,interviews and reading relevant literatures,it discusses the role of judicial social workers in the work of minors involved in crimes.Through the research,the author found that judicial social workers in the process of carrying out the practice of juvenile delinquency often appear role dilemma,mainly in three aspects,the first is role confusion--Judicial social workers have ambiguous self-role cognition;The second is role conflict--the conflict between the role expectation of procuratorate,social work institution,service object and judicial social work;Finally,the role distance--the distance between the ideal role and the practical role,the distance between the role expectation of each subject and the actual role.Based on the interview analysis,the author finds that the reasons for the role dilemma of judicial social workers are mainly due to the lack of knowledge of judicial social workers themselves,the lack of knowledge of different subjects involved in the assistance and education of minors involved in crimes,and the imperfect supervision and evaluation mechanism of social work institutions.Based on this,in order to promote the good development of judicial social work,the author starts from the two aspects of judicial social work and the main body involved in the work of helping and teaching juveniles involved in crime,and discusses the way to correctly position the role of judicial social work.At the level of different participants,more recognition and support should be given to judicial social workers.
