The Evolvement Of U.S. Policy Towards Afghanistan's National Reconstruction

After the outbreak of the Afghan War,the United States' national reconstruction policy towards Afghanistan has undergone development and adjustment for 16 years.At present,the reconstruction work has made some progress.However,the U.S.and Afghanistan still face many difficulties such as the deterioration of Afghan's security,the stagnation of political reconciliation and the weak improvement of economy.Beginning with the elaboration of reconstruction policies of American governments towards Afghanistan,the thesis,seeing through the appearance to perceive the essence,focuses on America's fundamental interests in Afghanistan and the effect of it's policies.The first chapter mainly sorts out the decision and implementation of President Bush's and Obama's reconstruction policies made within different terms,analyzing their guiding ideology,characteristics and impacts.From both the international and domestic perspectives,the second chapter illustrates the realistic basis of changes.Except for analyzing major challenges,chapter 3 focuses on three US fundamental interests in Afghanistan,namely security interests,political interests and geopolitical interests,grasping the essences of its policies.Chapter 4 is about the impacts of the above-mentioned policies,which is also known as the achievements of America's policies.Then,chapter 5,on the basis of the above study,makes an expectation of the US-Afghan relations and analyzes the impacts of these policies upon China.At last,chapter 5 also introduces the author's thoughts on the countermeasures under the circumstances that One Belt And One Road initiatives is deepening in Afghanistan and South-central Asia.
