A Study On The Process Of The Influence Of Volunteering Motivation On Sustained Volunteering Intention

In voluntary service,it is often more difficult to retain volunteers than to attract them.The intention to continue to participate in volunteering has become a key topic in the field of voluntary service.Previous studies on sustained volunteering intention mainly focused on the institutional level,personal characteristics,satisfaction and role identity.Few studies have explored the influence of volunteering motivation on sustained volunteering intention,and these studies have not further revealed how volunteering motivation affects sustained volunteering intention,especially for volunteers with autonomous motivation and controlled motivation.In view of this,based on the theory of self-determination and social cognitive theory,this study focuses on the process of voluntary service,and further explores the process of the influence of volunteering motivation on sustained volunteering intention.This study adopts the methods of document investigation,questionnaire method and statistical analysis.In this study,168 MBA students of University of Electronic Science and technology are selected as research samples,and the data collected in the two stages are matched and analyzed by SPSS26.0 and AMOS24.0.statistical software.This study uses reliability and validity test,descriptive statistics and common method deviation test to test the research hypothesis.The results show that different motivations affect sustained volunteering intention.Autonomous motivation has a positive impact on volunteering engagement,while controlled motivation has a negative impact on volunteering engagement.In addition,volunteering engagement will affect the perception in the process of voluntary service,that is,volunteering meaningfulness and skills acquired from volunteering.The higher the participation of volunteers in voluntary service,the stronger the perception of the volunteering meaningfulness and skills acquired from volunteering.Finally,the perception of volunteerism will affect sustained volunteering intention.Volunteering meaningfulness has a positive impact on the sustained volunteering intention,that is,the stronger the sense of volunteer meaning is,the stronger the intention to continue to participate in volunteering.Skills acquired from volunteering has a positive impact on sustained volunteering intention,that is,the more skills volunteers acquire in volunteer service,the stronger their intention to participate in volunteering again.This study provides a new perspective for the study of sustained volunteering intention.It studies the influence of different volunteering motivations on sustained volunteering intention and explores the internal process mechanism.This study hopes that more people can continue to participate in voluntary service,promote the implementation of more high-quality projects,and enhance the sustainability of voluntary service,so as to promote the development of voluntary service.
