A Case Study On The Relief Of Loneliness Of Empty Nest Elderly In Cities

As China enters an aging society,the number of empty nesters is increasing.Although the old people in the city can get the basic guarantee in the material life,the psychological problems of the old people have become the top priority,and even will produce a series of psychological problems such as depression and anxiety.First of all,the elderly lack emotional support around,and the depression in their hearts can not be timely dredged;second,children can not be around,and loneliness will be significantly higher than other old people;finally,the possible widowing in this stage is one of the biggest factors of loneliness for the elderly.Therefore,the loneliness of empty nesters needs the help of external forces.This study takes x community in Beijing as an example.Social workers use case service to alleviate the loneliness of an empty nest old man.Through the introduction of community transfer and the understanding of the author in the early service process,a representative empty nest elderly service object D in X community was selected In the process of case service,we should combine the theory of advantage perspective and social support as the guidance,explore and cultivate the potential ability of the case owner,mobilize the initiative of the service object,and help her to actively deal with the lonely dilemma,so as to build a perfect social and family support network for the service object,enhance the interpersonal communication and community participation of the service object,and ease the empty nest elderly service Business object D's sense of loneliness,enhance self-identity,so that their life satisfaction to a higher level.After three months of case service for the empty nest elderly,the loneliness of the service object has been greatly relieved,and the life satisfaction and happiness have been greatly improved.At the end of this paper,the author puts forward the limitations in the process of summary and research,and comes up with the following four suggestions: first,to cultivate the self spiritual comfort ability of empty nest elderly;second,to develop professional social work,to build a professional service team of "comfort the elderly for the aged";third,to provide more social support for empty nest elderly;encourage empty nest elderly to actively participate in optimistic and healthy social activities.
