Research On The Empty Nester's Pension Problems In X County,Datong City

In the wake of development in economy,the urbanization level of China has been continuously improved.A large number of young people in poor areas have flooded into cities,making the number of empty nesters in poverty-stricken areas increases year by year.The various retirement pension systems in city are comparatively perfect.There are many places for community activities,such as nursing homes,apartments for the elderly,etc.,and the problems of empty nester pension in cities are easier to find solutions than in poorer areas.A large number of the empty nesters live in poor areas,but the social security system starts late here,and the resources such as pension funds,manpower and service facilities are scarce,even the medical level is at the bottom.How to solve these problems to improve their pension level has become a major issue concerning the social harmony.In this context,we need to figure out the problems the reasons,and the ways to improve the current situation.The pension problems for empty nesters,especially those in poor areas,are not only related to the elder's living standards,but also to the harmonious development of society,which is of great significance to building a harmonious society.This article mainly studies the pension problems of empty nesters in X County,Datong City.X county is the national key county for poverty alleviation and development.The writer gets a better understanding of the current situation through field surveys and studies pension problems in X County,Datong City by many methods,such as literature research,comparative analysis,questionnaire survey,and quantitative and qualitative analysis.Through multistage sampling the writer has collected questionnaires and data.Using data from the sixth nationwide population census,2017 Shanxi statistical yearbook and the questionnaire,and the relevant data provided by the grass-roots government of X county,combining demographics,sociology and psychology,selecting the SPSS software for quantitative analysis and the Logistic model to analyze the problems from three different perspectives which are government,community and individual,and the factors affecting the pension problems.Based on the results of empirical analysis and the status quo of pension,this article analyzes the existing problems and the causes,and puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions for solving the problems for empty nesters in X County,Datong City.The study shows that to address the pension problems for empty nesters,we must proceed from the government,the community,and the elderly themselves,taking all aspects into consideration,especially in poverty-stricken areas,focus on the impact of economic factors on the pension for empty nesters,vigorously take targeted measures to help people lift themselves out of poverty,improve the economic outlook and community infrastructure construction of the stricken areas,strengthen the elder's law awareness and understanding for the local social security policies,especially the pension policies,upgrade the pension service level of the local government and the community,and help the elder to build the consciousness of self pension.
