The ideological and political education is of great importance to the development of our society and individual.At present,an important aspect of the main contradiction in our society is the people's growing desire for a better life,which also includes the expectation of personal development.In the category of Ideological and political education activities,we are required to think about the development of the object.This is not only of practical significance to social development,but also the effective of ideological and political education.Modernity is the realistic ideological and cultural background of the current social development in China and the world.Modernity,as a kind of spiritual temperament,is clearly reflected in the object of Ideological and political education.However,due to various factors,the development of modernity gradually limits the development of human beings.How to transcend the modernity dilemma of human thoughts,spirits and values has become an urgent problem to be solved in Ideological and political education.Based on the basic position of Marxism,this paper insists on analyzing and trying to solve problems with Marxist viewpoint and method.From the perspective of modernity,this paper discusses the development situation of the ideological and political education objects in China under such a background,which includes not only the side beneficial to the development of contemporary people,but also the factors hindering the continuous development.Based on this train of idea,this paper is divided into four chapters.Chapter one is the introduction,which introduces the background of this study,including the source of the topic,the summary of relevant research,the research ideas and methods,and also mentions the possible innovations and shortcomings of the paper.Chapter two is the theoretical basis of this study.First of all,it refers to the development of modernity in China and the west,and investigates three main characteristics of Modernity: rationality,freedom and subjectivity.Secondly,it comprehensively analyzes the related theories of the object of Ideological and political education,including the definition of the concept and the analysis of the characteristics,as well as the scientific methods of studying the object of Ideological and political education.Chapter three analyzes the development direction and developmentdilemma of the ideological and political education object in combination with the characteristics of modernity.The development direction refers to the development foundation provided by modernity for the ideological and political education object.The development dilemma includes several pairs: the contradiction between the instrumental rationality and the value rationality,the contradiction between the freedom of value choice and the development goal of individual socialization,the contradiction between value individualism and society's value orientation.Chapter four attempts to explore the transcendence of Ideological and political education to the development dilemma of modernity of educational objects.First of all,we must have a clear attitude,criticize the existing problems on the basis of recognizing the achievements of modernity,and firmly stand for transcendence.Secondly,we should set the goal of transcending the dilemma of modernity,which is to wake up the value rationality of education objects and guide them to form the identity of the ultimate value of society.Thirdly,we should integrate the existence field of Ideological and political education object: school,society and modern life world.The last and most important point is to construct the content of Ideological and political education,take promoting value rationality as the basis of content construction,take Marxism and socialist core values as the main content,and integrate all the favorable factors that can transcend the predicament of modernity.All in all,because of the continuous development and change of the times,the development dilemma of modernity beyond the object of Ideological and political education will still be a very meaningful basic research topic in the new historical position.Inspecting the modernity development of the object of Ideological and political education is the requirement of keeping advanced and times of this subject,and is also the requirement of perfecting the basic theory of subject.Modernity is a huge concept system however,and it will be more abundant with the development of the times.Therefore,this study is unfinished,which needs the continuous improvement of Ideological and political education theory researchers.
