Research On Armed Police County Squadron Officers And Soldiers’ Marriage Problems

The Chinese People’s Armed Police Force(CAPF)is an important armed force in fighting terrorism and safeguarding the nation and its social stability.Its duty is sacred and its mission is glorious.PAPF county squadron officers and soldiers fight for the benefits and welfare of the country and the people in the presence of various daunting task in a daily basis,not afraid of hardship or bloodshed,and they have successfully completed the various tasks given by the party and the people.Because of the nature and particularities of their job and duties,soldiers and officers in PAPF cannot enjoy the leisure to stay with their loved ones for a long time.They need to stand by and be prepared to fight and risk their lives for the country whenever it is necessary.Therefore,compared with ordinary people,their marriage often requires more sacrifice and dedication,and there is a small family standing behind each ordinary but great figure among them.Relationship or marriage quality is not only just a private matter of their emotional life,personal growth and family happiness,but it also affects the construction,the safety and stability,and the reputation of the troops.How to properly take care of such worries back at home for officers and soldiers in PAPF county squadrons,to reassure their dedication to the nation,has become an urgency subject in the education management of PAPF at the local level.It also has been a hot and difficult topic for troop construction and issues of security and stability under the new circumstances nowadays.Based on the above reasons,this paper investigates the current situation of the love and marriage of PAPF soldiers and officers in county squadrons,with sample taken from selected county squadrons in Jiangxi province,and data collected through surveys,randomized discussions and in-depth interviews.Analysis on the research data suggests quite a few problems: some county squadron officers and soldiers do not have the right or proper attitude towards dating and marriage;long-term separation often leads to insufficient protection of the rights and benefits of marriage;divorce rate is high and relationship is more susceptive to changes in external environment;greater tension and conflicts within the family;and finally,in some cases,the leadership has paid insufficient attention to,or ignores the importance of this problem.The paper also analyzes the possible causes of these problems.In view of all these results,the paper relates the viewpoint of development to study how the quality of love and marriage in China has developed to the current situation,and analyzes the necessity to build and nurture a healthy attitude towards love and marriage among PAPF soldiers and officers in county squadrons.Finally,the paper proposes several suggestions as countermeasures to the current problems,including improving education management on dating and marriage in the local level,enhancing legal protection of the rights and benefits of marriage involving military personnel,constructing an effective supporting system,fostering a harmonious environment,and promoting positive publicity,etc.,to improve the relationship and marriage quality of PAPF soldiers and officers in county squadrons.
