Social Work Practice Of Villagers' Participation In The Improvement Of Human Settlements

In 2019,Jilin Province issued the action plan for village cleaning of rural residential environment improvement in Jilin Province,which started to carry out two-year rural residential environment improvement actions in the whole province.In July 2019,Nong'an County officially launched the rural residential environment improvement and village cleaning action.The problem of rural human settlements is formed by the dualistic structure of urban and rural areas and the values of consumerism.The s village of Nongan County selected in this paper has the problems of incomprehension to the action of human settlements remediation and insufficient participation of villagers,so the remediation work is very difficult.The intervention of social workers has become an effective means to understand the current situation of villagers' lives and improve their plight.This paper takes S village as the research object,through in-depth interview,participation observation,questionnaire survey and other research methods,obtains a large number of first-hand information to analyze their participation status,participation problems and participation needs,as well as the shortcomings of the village committee and grassroots cadres.On this basis,guided by the theory of empowerment and ecosystem theory,a mutual aid group has been formed to carry out six group service activities:starting from me to protect the environment;mutual understanding and learning;my beautiful small yard;my village I come to guard;owning the village environmental protection group;whether this is the beginning or the end.In the process of activities,social work,as a helper and guide,makes full use of the advantageous resources that enable villagers to participate,forms a positive impact ecosystem in the group,and designs the interaction of all activities and sharing links so that members can recognize the environment,reflect on themselves,and think about their relationship with the environment,so as to meet the needs of villagers to improve their enthusiasm for participation.Finally,through the detailed work records in the process of the group,the social workers have made the relevant experience summary and Reflection on the involvement of the villagers in the improvement of the living environment.The group activities are supported by the village committee and the government.Under the beneficial attempt of social workers,the villagers and the government work together to build a better village.
