Study On The Influence Of New Media Of Government Affairs On College Students' Political Efficacy

Our government emphasizes upholding and improving systems and institutions that ensure the people's participation in the decision-making process,with continuous progress in socialist democracy.Political efficacy is not only the core element of the civic spirit,but also an important manifestation of the degree of democratic politics.It refers to the degree of self-confidence of citizens in their political abilities and the political system's ability to respond to their needs,including the internal political efficacy and external political efficacy.Individual political ability and the effect of government and citizen interaction will affect the level of political efficacy.In the era of the mobile Internet,communication is more convenient,immediate,accurate,and interactive.Our government keeps pace with the times,innovates governance methods,and skillfully combines "new media" and "government affairs" to create new media of government affairs and open up new channels for the government to communicate with the public and serve the people.The new media of government affairs mainly has the functions of "government affairs promotion","government-civilian interaction",and "online services",which are of great significance for improving citizens' political ability and promoting communication between the government and the people.Contemporary college students are mostly "post-90s" and "post-00s",they are called "the generation at the fingertips".The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that the younger generation has ideals,skills,and responsibilities,and the country has a future and the nation has hope.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the influence of new media of government affairs on college students' political efficacy.By defining concepts,operationalizing and testing the quality of the questionnaire,the study compiled the questionnaire "Research on the Impact of New Media of Government Affairs on College Students' Political Efficacy" and conducted a random survey of the current state of political efficacy among 400 college students.After collected a total of 316 valid questionnaires and analyzed the data using SPSS,the survey results show that: the comprehensive evaluation level of the new media of government affairs has a positive correlation with the overall political efficacy,internal political efficacy,and external political efficacy of college students;the "political-civilian interaction function" has a far greater impact on university students' internal and external political efficacy than the other two;college students' external political efficacy is lower than internal political efficacy and overall political efficacy;college students' evaluation of the "government-civilian interaction function" of new media of government affairs is lower than the evaluation level of "government publicity function" and "fingertip service function".In addition,college students' political efficacy has significant differences in demographic variables such as gender,age,education,profession,and political outlook.According to the current situation of college students 'political efficacy and the positive influence of new media of government affairs on college students' political efficacy,this study explores countermeasures to improve college students' political efficacy from the perspectives of individuals,schools,and governments.College students need to improve their personal political abilities,establish ownership,and exercise citizenship correctly.Schools should strengthen online ideological and political education for college students,help college students solve difficulties in daily life,and carry out social practice activities for college students.The government should pay attention to the development of the "government-civilian interaction function" of the new media of government affairs,strengthen the construction of the new media of government affairs teams,and strengthen the supervision of the new media of government affairs operations.
