Survival Predicament Of Community Social Organizations From The Perspective Of Resource Dependence Theory

In recent years,community social organizations have played an increasingly prominent role in the expression of community residents' interests,participation in community public service delivery and construction of community social capital.However,the development of community social organizations is extremely unbalanced due to the different development degree of social reform and civil society.Since 2012,Nanchang government has began to promote the filling system of community social organizations,which promoted the rapid expansion of community social organizations.But social organizations are still faced with development difficulties,which are the lack of resources,uneven service quality,weak credibility and poor competitiveness.Based on the resource dependence theory,using organizational survival strategy as a starting point,the author made a in-depth interviews with the founder of Nanchang community social organizations and relevant staff,good partner and government cadres and community residents.What's more,the social organization of Community J ‘s generation situation of development are systematically studied and the causes of survival predicament are analyzed.Then the author put forward the internal and external improvement strategies for community social organizations before the problems finding and experience reference.This paper finds that there are the following problems of Nanchang Institution J develop: over-reliance on the government,lack of funds,poor organizational management abilities and so on.The reasons for it are: poor communication with the government,undefined positioning and weak financing ability.According to the dilemma,the author gave the following suggestions.On the one hand,the organization internally needs clear orientation,standard organization construction,building brand project and improve workers' professional quality.Making full use of external resources,broadening the fund channel and enhancing the ability of communication with government are also important.On the other hand,the government can establish and improve the development system for community social organization,give overall consideration,increase capital input and strengthen publicity for community social work.
