Application Research On Electronic Data Forensic Blockchain

With the rapid update of information technology,the problems in the electronic data forensics that the variety and volume of electronic data are becoming more and more obvious.And in practical work,the importance of electronic evidence is also increasing year by year.Therefore,under the premise of effectively guaranteeing the legitimacy,authenticity,and relevance of electronic evidence,giving full play to the evidence effectiveness of electronic evidence will be one of the issues which are worthy of attention.Blockchain technology is deeply discussed by researchers from all walks of life because of its immutability and secured data.As a relatively mature branch of blockchain technology,Hyperledger Fabric is known for having modular architecture supporting pluggable implementations,delivering high degrees of scalability,and data indexing.Currently,the research of blockchain is not limited to the financial field.It has great application in the field of electronic data storage and certification.Moreover,research of blockchain is gradually recognized by the judicial department of China.Internet courts around China accumulate a lot of experience in judicial practice.They have promulgated a number of principles of electronic data storage and certification,and standards for review and authenticity based on blockchain technology,which lay a foundation for the application of blockchain technology in China's judicial field.Because electronic data forensics is closely related to electronic data storage and certification,electronic data forensics and blockchain technology can be combined to improve the management efficiency of electronic data forensics,and guarantee the validity of electronic data forensics with technical methods.In this paper,a blockchain for electronic data forensics based on Hyperledger Fabric is proposed,which meets the requirements of practice and analysis in electronic data forensics.Meanwhile,with the efforts of the judicial administration and industry associations,the quality assessment system of electronic data forensics will be improved on the basis of blockchain application.This article first gives a brief introduction to the theoretical background about the development process and the legal system of electronic data forensics.Based on the analysis of the current status of electronic data forensics in China,the main problems in electronic data forensics at this stage are focused on ensuring the proof of the electronic data forensic opinions.And the "two-in-one" electronic data forensics quality evaluation system also has an adverse effect on the proof of electronic data forensics opinions.Next,this article briefly introduces the basic feature of the blockchain technology and some special properties given by Hyperledger Fabric.It also summarizes the achievements in the field of electronic data evidence storage and certification which are produced by existing blockchain technology.Motivated by those achievements,this passage innovatively proposed the electronic data forensic blockchain based on Hyperledger Fabric.Based on the management needs of electronic data forensics,this article selects some functional modules given by Hyperledger Fabric,and builds up the preliminary logical framework.Combining with the procedure of electronic data forensics,this passage analyzes the design of electronic data forensics' functional modules,which include the following requirements: first,the construction of access channels should base on the identification agency as the division criterion;second,the deployment process of user chaincode should be different depending on the different demand.subject;third,except identity verification,when a new peer node in an institution join the designated channel,it also has to get the permission and record from the institution.This passage also demonstrates the legality,authenticity and relevance of the electronic data forensic opinions which is coming up with electronic data forensic blockchain.Based on the current quality assessment system of electronic data forensics,electronic data forensic opinions under the blockchain can improve the proof from the technical aspect,reduce the burden of the appraiser appear in court to cross-examination.This article also analyzes other legal issues that should be noted after the introduction of blockchain technology,including the allocation of the responsibility for the authenticity of data on the blockchain,and the improvement of the quality assessment system of electronic data forensics based on the blockchain.Finally,the article prospects the development of blockchain technology in the electronic data forensics.The challenges posed by emerging technologies to the electronic data forensics are self-evident.However,if it can be turned into a weapon to maintain legal fairness and justice,it will effectively improve the adaptability of electronic data forensics and promote the continuous development of electronic data forensics.This article is based on the analysis of the needs of management in electronic data forensics,constructed an electronic data forensic blockchain and analyzed the proof of the electronic data forensic opinions in the blockchain,in order to explore a feasible path for the future organic combination of electronic data forensics and blockchain.
