Research On The Political Quality Of Postgraduates Majoring In Ideological And Political Education

Over thirty years of reform and opening,ideological and political education,as a major field of studies with distinct Chinese features,has emerged,matured and produced thousands of talents engaged in the work of ideological and political education for the country.Nowadays,with the rapid development of market-oriented economy and the increasing requirements the society for talents,response to the country' s postgraduate enrollment expansion policy,the number of postgraduates is increasing year by year,so is their employment pressure.For a field with political theory as the core of the discipline like ideological and political education,training students in the political accomplishment and quality can undoubtedly better increase students' employment competitiveness and individual comprehensive competence.The author of this thesis thus hopes to reflect upon the relative factors influencing postgraduate students'political quality through the study on the present situation and the existing problems of the political quality of the postgraduates majoring in ideological and political education,and finally to find the countermeasures to improve their political quality.The author hopes to explore the effective methods of improving the political quality of postgraduate students majoring in ideological and political education by studying the present situation and the existing problems of their political quality,so as to strengthen the effectiveness and feasibility of political quality education and to promote the students'employment competitiveness and the harmonious development of socialism.Firstly,based on the introduction and the relevant theoretical literature review,the author conducts a questionnaire survey on grade-three postgraduates of four universities in Shanxi and some graduates majoring in ideological and political education.Based on the four components of political quality,i.e.,political belief,political views,political orientation,and political stance,the author designs relevant questionnaires for the purpose of understanding the present situation of the political performance of the postgraduates majoring in ideological and political education.By using the software of SPSS to analyze the data,this thesis found that the overall quality of these students is good,while there are still quite a few students whose political identity weakens,who have psychological deviation of the political affairs,whose purpose of political events is too utilitarian,or who is lack of collectivist spirits enthusiasm for political participation.Then according to the features of the major and also the features of the students majoring in this field,the author designs the factors influencing the political quality of these students,i.e.from teachers'aspects,academic aspects as well as extracurricular aspects.By using software AMOS to analyze the results of the investigation,the factors which influence the political quality are finally got,thus imitating the countermeasures of optimizing the political quality of postgraduates in ideological and political education.
