For the modern country,the development of civic education is closely related to the democratization of national political society,the development of national economy and the process of national modernization.It is inseparable that the development of civic education is the inevitable choice of modern government.Britain as the world's research and implementation of civic education earlier countries,after a long period of exploration and development,it has formed in line with the national conditions of the mature theoretical system and rich practical experiences in the training of capitalist qualified citizens,the enhancing of civic awareness,the promoting of society progress and other aspects.Based on the policy of civic education in Britain in the 21 st century,this paper uses the method of the literature analysis and factor analysis to sort out the development process of British civic education.On this basis,it emphasizes the policy of British civic education in the 21 st century and discusses the British citizens.The concrete implementation of educational curriculum and its effect.This study is divided into seven parts: The first part is the introduction.This part mainly introduces the reason,purpose and significance of research,research methods,research ideas,core concept definition and related literature review.The second part introduces the realistic background of British civic education in the 21 st century,mainly including four aspects: nature,population,economic characteristics,political environment,social and cultural environment and international environment.The third part details the policy of British civic education in the 21 st century,including ? The Crick Report??? The National Curriculum for England:citizenship???CURRICULUM REVIEW DIVERSITY & CITIZENSHIP???Citizenship programmes of study?and Four policy text core ideas,goals and content of the expression.The fourth part discusses the concrete implementation of British civic education policy in the 21 st century,and mainly covers several aspects,including subject coverage,curriculum setting,citizen teaching and learning,civic education assessment,citizen teacher training and evaluation,etc.At the same time,the school outside the civic education practice to be explained.The fifth part shows the practical effect of British civic education policy in the 21 st century through the performance of British schoolstudents in citizen knowledge,skills and conducts investigation.The sixth part summarizes the characteristics of British civic education policy in the 21 st century,mainly including the following characteristics: The goal of the definition of the political,the diversity of expression,the era of policy change,emphasizing student participation.Combined with the real dilemma faced by civic education in our country,trying to answer the question of how civic education can be effectively implemented and how the state can agree on these two problems in the seventh part.
