Application Of Local Geography Curriculum Resources In Senior High School Geography Teaching

The use of local geography curriculum resources is not only a basic requirement of geography elementary education curriculum reform,but also to adapt to the new geography textbook teaching in senior high school,even to promote the practical needs of Jinta County geography education.Jinta County has rich local natural resources and human geography courses.However,the application of the resources in Geography Teaching of high school is simple and undeveloped,because of the level of awareness and academic burden of teachers in high school.Therefore,this paper focuses on policies and issues of geography teaching where integration of natural resources and textbook content is applied,calling the teachers to pay more attention to local geography education.First,we can analyze the local geography and the development of the curriculum resources at home and abroad through literature research,which can clarify some related definition of local geography and local geography curriculum resources and discusses the theoretical basis for development and utilization.Secondly,according to the characteristics of new PEP high school geography textbooks,we can see the importance of local geography curriculum resources of geography teaching in high school.In this way,we can easily know the overall introduction of local geography resources in Jinta County.Besides,we can sort out the main contents of local natural and human geography curriculum resources in Jinta County.Choosing local geography curriculum resources carefully and combining the geography curriculum criteria and new PEP high school geography textbook is also a good way.After that,through case studies and action research methods,we can focus on how local geography curriculum resources of Jinta county can be used in the classroom teaching and extracurricular activities.What is more,I put forward some specific application strategies,such as classroom penetration,inquiry teaching,case teaching,field practice etc.and present specific teaching situations and teaching cases.Finally,I reflect on some tips of applicating the local geography curriculum resources in geography teaching in high school.The research shows that high school geography teaching application of local geography curriculum resources will help to stimulate students' interest in learning,foster their local emotion,promote teachers' professional development and implement the new curriculum.
