With the development of classroom teaching practice,classroom teaching evaluation is getting more and more attention.Classroom teaching evaluation is an important part of classroom teaching.It contains not only the process of evaluating the specific situation of teachers in teaching activities,which includes the specific behavior of teachers,the rationality of teaching content selection,the appropriateness of teaching objectives,the scientificity of the teaching method and the teacher's evaluation of the control of the whole class,but also the comprehensive evaluation for the learning and accepting level in the classroom of students,the problem-solving ability of students,as well as creative thinking development,attitudes and values.In this paper,literature method and the questionnaire survey method are adopted to make a comprehensive investigation and analysis on the current situation and problems of the language teaching evaluation.By conducting researches on 31 teachers of Kangxian NO.1 Middle School,it is found that the language classroom teaching evaluation status is not so optimistic.The results of the questionnaire show that there are still many problems in the evaluation of language teaching,which mainly contains,first,the school does not pay enough attention on the high school language classroom teaching evaluation;second,teachers have different understanding of the purpose of evaluation;third,the evaluation subject is too simplex;forth,the evaluation criteria have no disciplines.According to the problems appeared in the evaluation of Chinese classroom teaching in Kangxian NO.1 middle school of Longnan City,the author puts forward the following improvement strategies after learning from the previous experience and reading a lot of literatures.First,improve the attention of the school on classroom teaching evaluation: increase the participation of teachers;the leaders of the school create proper atmosphere of class evaluation.Second,set up proper views of evaluation:change the evaluation views of the teachers;improve the evaluation skills of the teachers;be clear about the purpose of evaluation;be qualified evaluating teachers.Third,diverse the evaluation subjects: teachers evaluation;peers evaluation;students evaluation;students' parents evaluation.Forth,the basic evaluation criteria of Chinese teaching: the effective setting of teaching objectives;reasonable choices of teaching content;the correct use of teaching methods;the continuous process of teaching;the pertinence of the teaching guidance;the rational use of teaching language;the appropriateness of teaching manners.
