Design And Development Of Middle School Biology Simulation Model Based On NetLogo

Model is the important method and means of scientific research,meeting the needs of students' lifelong development,is one of the hot spots of national curriculum reform.American's "A Framework for K-12 Science Education" makes the developing and using of the model as one of the eight important dimensions in the science and engineering practice.The ordinary high school biology curriculum standard(experiment)said that"the model is the basic knowledge that students must acquire.The Core competence of Biology said that students should be able to use induction and generalization,deductive and reasoning,model and modeling and critical thinking to explore life phenomenon and law,examine or argument biological social issues.Teaching with models,can promote the students to grasp the method of model and improve students' ability of modeling,is an important part of high school biology teaching.However,because of the lacks of model teaching in knowledge,teaching conditions,and many other reasons,the model in the high school biology teaching process does not get the attention it deserves,students'grasp of the model is slightly insufficient,is not conducive to the needs of students'development.Computer simulation model is based on computer simulation technology to establish the system model about investigation object,has strong interactivity,dynamic simulation,simulation and so on,can change what cannot be observed as can be seen,can improve the students' participation,and can also create the explore situation,that is a good biological education resources,and excellent material of model education.In this paper,will design and develop computer simulation model base on the NetLogo simulation software,and try to design the corresponding teaching cases,explore the possibility of using computer simulation model in biology teaching.This article is divided into five parts.The first part is introduction,introduces the research background,model has unique teaching advantages,but did not get the attention it deserves in biological teaching,the computer simulation model is a good material for biological teaching and model education.So come up with the topic of this paper:developing biological teaching resources based on computer simulation technology and designing the corresponding teaching examples with the models.In additions,this part also makes sense for the contents,methods and significance of this paper.The second part is about theoretical research,clarify model,model method,model building,model of teaching and other related concepts by using the method of literature research,introduces the characteristics of the computer simulation technology and the computer simulation model,confirm the theory basis of this study.The third part is introduced the resource developing software NetLogo and development process of computer simulation model,and then design and develop the computer simulation model.According to the needs of teaching and the characteristics of NetLogo simulation model,develop three imulation models:" marking and recapture method","the population growth model" and "the interspecific relationship" in high school biology compulsory three about species and community,and introduce the knowledge and the principle of every simulation model.The fourth part is the teaching application,design and analysis the teaching case with the computer simulation model developed.The fifth part is results and prospects of this research,summarizes the achievements and deficiencies of the study,and put forward the thought of follow-up studies.
