More and more attention has been paid to the cultivation of students’ model and modeling ability and experimental skills in biology teaching.In 2013,the United States promulgated the Standards for the Next Generation of Science Education in the United States,which elaborated on the construction of models and model teaching,and explained that students’ scientific inquiry ability includes "applying logical thinking and factual evidence to construct and improve scientific models".The basic concepts of Biology Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017 edition)mentioned that "core literacy is the purpose" and "teaching process emphasizes practice"."Core biology literacy" proposed that students should be able to "use scientific thinking methods to understand things and solve practical problems.For example,based on biological facts,we can use models and modeling methods to discuss the phenomena and laws of life,and examine or demonstrate biological social issues." This goal can only be realized by model teaching,and there are many biological phenomena or experiments that are not easy to understand in high school biology.Teachers can also build models and let students operate the models to learn relevant knowledge and cultivate students’ scientific thinking ability and spirit of scientific inquiry.As an excellent biology teaching resource,computer simulation model has the characteristics of strong interaction and immersion compared with the general model.It can use computer technology to realize dynamic simulation and transform unobserved or inconvenient phenomena into visualization,which is conducive to teachers to create inquiry situations in class,improve learning interest and teaching effect.Based on the NetLogo simulation development software,this study developed the simulation model and designed the corresponding teaching experiment,so as to explore the possibility of applying the computer simulation model to teaching.This study is divided into five parts.First,based on a large number of literature analysis,summarize the research status of model teaching and computer model teaching at home and abroad,and clarify the research content,methods and significance.Secondly,the concepts of model,model construction,computer model and computer model teaching are defined and the theoretical basis of the research is clearly defined.Thirdly,the author introduces the origin,interface,characteristics and other related information of NetLogo software,and then introduces the design and development of the "separation law" model,"gene frequency" model and "competition and predation" model according to the development process of computer simulation model and biology teaching requirements.Fourthly,based on the three models,the author writes the corresponding teaching design and practice.After class,the author tests the teaching effect in the form of test questions,and finds that the simulation model teaching can improve students’ scores to a certain extent,thus proving the possibility of applying the computer simulation model to biology teaching.Fifth,summarize the achievements and shortcomings of this study,and put forward the prospect of the follow-up research.
