A Method Study On The Intervention Of Group Work For The Physically Disabled In The Countryside Under The Perspective Of Resilience

Although China has a rapid development of social economy,there is still a large percentage of disabled citizens in China.While their living conditions is one of the important aspects to reflect the economic development and social civilization of a country or region.At present,according to statistics,most of disabled people are still living in poverty in our country.People with disabilities are the special social vulnerable groups,their level of living directly reflects the standard of social life.From the current study about social work,the research about domestic social work still remains in the macro system and public services,however,there was less attention about the specific practical work of disabled people,especially in the research of the physically disabled in rural areas.The perspective of resistance indicated that everyone has an inherent resilience,and that attention and improvement of the level of resistance can help individuals to meet the challenges of adversity in life.Rural people with disabilities may face more adversity factors than normal people,such as physiological dysfunction,psychological distress,low self-esteem,social employment and education discrimination,etc.The perspective of resistance is a "from inside to out" perspective,emphasizing the inherent ability and advantages of individuals,to strengthen the individual's internal resistance by providing care and support.Based on the social work programs of disabled people that the author has participated in,this paper focuses on the materials including personal investigation,demands assessment,project design,the implementation of group activities,to analysis the resistance condition from both the external support and intrinsic characteristics of the subjects.It comes to the conclusion that it is widely for the disabled in rural area that they all have the problems in poor living condition,lack of employment opportunities,low level of education,a strong sense of loneliness,lack of self-confidence,lack of communication and other issues.According to the perspective of the resistance,the author designed and carried out the group activities for the rural physically people from the improvement of the intrinsic characteristics.By the detailed analysis of each activity and its effectand deficiency,the author tried to give some suggestions to rural social work for the disabled:cooperate with the relevant departments,win the government support;get to know real demands of the disabled through reaching out to the community;focus on multi-party collaboration,union" four communities";highlight the typical case,then promote to all areas.
