The connection problem of various subjects in middle and high school has been a long time,and it is very common for freshmen in high school not to adjust quickly to adapt to high school learning,which results in difficulty in learning.The chemistry subject is different in many aspects between middle and high school,such as learning content,course standards,teaching objectives and so on,and the necessity of connection class has been highlighted in many knowledge areas.This paper takes the important part,"Gas Production",of the chemistry experimental parts as the research content,designs and implements connection class.Through consulting a large number of literature,this paper sums up the features,functions and contents of middle and high school chemistry connection class,sorts out the features of students chemistry learning in middle and high school,interprets detailedly the middle and high school compulsory part knowledge related to "Gas Production" and designs the required pre-test and post-test.The 50 students of Class 9,Senior Grade One and Class 10,Grade One in some key school were selected as the objects of study and those two classes were divided into the contrast group and experimental group.The author designs the connection class and implements it,and those students were tested though the pre-test and post-test before and after connection class.According to analyzing the experimental data with the method of SPSS-t test and SPSS-one-way ANOVA,the author concludes as follow,(1)The connection class has a significant effect on the mastery of "Gas Production" for fresh men.(2)The connection class has a significant effect on the mastery of "Gas Production"for both boys and girls,especially the girls.(3)There is no significant difference in the effect of connection class for the students of different chemistry bases,that is,the different chemistry bases of the students can not influence the effect of "Gas Production"connection class.(4)According to the connection class,students can grasp gas production's knowledge relating to the reaction principle,collection device,removing impurity and drying better.But the connection class does not play a significant role in the grasping of knowledge relating to the reaction medicine,collecting gas filled and device air tightness checking.There are five chapters in this paper.In the first chapter,the main problems of this paper are put forward by studying the curriculum content,standards of chemistry in middle and high school,students' learning situation and teaching situation.Combined with the research status at home and abroad related to the connection class and gas production experiment,this chapter presents the contents,meaning,train of thought and methods.The second chapter summarizes the features of chemistry learning for the middle and high school students,and summarizes the reasons for features'differences.Through summarizing the features of chemistry connection class in middle and high school,it is clear that "Gas Production" connection class is a school-based class based on the actual situation of students.At the same time,it points out the function of connection class and summarizes the connection contents of the six aspects of middle and high school chemistry.The third chapter introduces the basic situation of the object of study,introduces the design content and two-way specification table of the "Gas Production" pre-test and post-test,and explains the consistency of the post-test and pre-test.At the same time,it elaborates the design concept and teaching goal of the connection class,and explains the teaching process of the connection class.In the fourth chapter,after the analysis of the data obtained by the study,it is concluded that the connection class has a positive effect on the "Gas Production" learning for freshmen,especially the girls,but the effect on the students at different academic levels is not significantly different.Through processing score data of every question of the test papers,this chapter gives the influence of connection class on students' mastery of specific knowledge points.The fifth chapter is the conclusion and reflection of the study.Combined with the conclusion,this paper gives some teaching suggestions,and points out the enlightenment,innovation and deficiency of the study.
