Research purposes: According to the need of primary school basketball innovative teaching model under the "New Curriculum Standard",in all the levels of primary basketball teaching,teaching content,methods,objectives,evaluation and some other models corresponding sports participation,sports skills,psychical health,mental health and social adaption should be established,in order to optimize the quality of primary school basketball teaching,to cultivate lifelong awareness and ability to engage in basketball,through basketball to fully enhance the sports skills,physical function and psychological health.Research Methods: The writer uses literature research method,questionnaires,data rearrangement,interviews,and logic analysis to conduct research.Research results and strategies: Under the guidance of the "New Curriculum Standard",Chaoyang District of Changchun City,has its own advantages in basketball teaching.At the same time,it also has certain deficiencies.Advantages: Basketball teachers have a higher overall quality and can meet the needs of primary school basketball teaching in Changchun.The support from the relevant departments and parents of students provided necessary support for the implementation of the “New Curriculum Standard” for primary schools.Tightly integrating the requirements of the “New Curriculum Standard”,for “Four Goals”(sports participation,sports skills,physical health,and mental health and social adaption),active exploration and experimentation have been conducted.Insufficient performances: Relatively,students can't have plenty of time to use basketball facilities,and it will affect students' enthusiasm for participation in basketball to a certain extent.In-class and out-of-class teaching models are not fully implemented,and some pupils' enthusiasm for participating in basketball after school hours needs to be further improved.Strategies: 1.The basketball teaching facilities should be improved actively.2.Primary school basketball tutorials that meet the requirements of the “New Curriculum” should be prepared.3.Basketball teaching innovations should be carried out actively.4.The integration model inside and outside class should be carried out and implemented well.
