In recent years,foam rolling is widely used in sports training and rehabilitation training,the purpose of the athletes in warm-up is to have a good joint activity,while allowing the muscles to exercise the required state.This prevents sports injuries and has a good athletic performance.The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of rolling and static stretching of foam shafts on the flexibility of the thighs and the effects on muscle strength under immediate state intervention.Significance of research: Combining good rolling and static lather of foam can be used in sports training and actual competition to prevent sports injury and improve sports performance.Pre-exercise warm-up arrangement to provide theoretical and practical significance.Research Methods: 10 college students in Beijing Sport University as test subjects.Static stretching,foam rolling,static stretching and foam rolling,rolling and static stretching of foam shaft were carried out.Four kinds of interventions were used to interfere with the muscle of the thigh in 6 × 50 s.The knee ROM and MVC of the thigh muscles were observed,as well as the Myton index.The results showed that:(1)The four intervention methods significantly improved the ROM(p <0.01);the combination of foam rolling and static stretching enhanced the flexibility more than the simple foam rolling(P <0.05);(2)Static stretching significantly reduced the MVC(p <0.05);the foam rolling and the rolling and static stretching of the foam axis affected the MVC.The first static stretching in the foam roll can improve the MVC of the thigh muscles(p <0.05).(3)The four interventions did not change the muscle’s elasticity,hardness and stiffness significantly.Conclusion:(1)Foam rolling,static stretching,rolling plus static,static plus rolling can effectively improve the flexibility.Rolling plus static is better than simply rolling the foam shaft.(2)Foam rolling can counteract the force reduction caused by static stretching,while static stretching first can increase the MVC when rolling the foam shaft.(3)The combination of foam shaft and static stretching not only enhances muscle flexibility but also improve the MVC.
