In the new general high school geography curriculum standard,the high school geography core literacy is composed of four core elements:human and land concept,comprehensive thinking,regional identify and geography practical ability.Regional cognition is the process of dividing the earth's surface into a region based on certain criteria.The cultivation of students' regional cognitive ability is one of the basic requirements of modern geography education.It is also one of the highlights of the new geography curriculum reform in senior high school,or one of the main contents of the geographical core literacy.With the area of cognitive literacy high school students can observe the world with a regional perspective,understanding of geographical phenomenon;from the regional location,regional characteristics understanding the regional comprehensive understanding;can be application area method to the reality of the regional decision analysis,reflects the basic concepts-study of geography the geography of life is useful.Through the literature review,the author has a thorough understanding of the problems to be studied;through field investigation,classroom observation,mathematical analysis,summary and induction,the author understands the current situation of the training of regional cognitive ability of F middle school students in Kaifeng,explores its causes,and then puts forward some pertinent strategies.According to the investigation of the status of regional cognitive ability training for high school students,the author designed the questionnaire according to the objectives,contents,methods and training effects of regional cognitive ability training,including 14 subjects.In this questionnaire survey,the main object of the investigation was all the students of the F high school in Kaifeng.The author chooses the senior two liberal arts class because from this stage,it is the important stage that the students' regional cognitive ability is beginning to form.The author can make a thorough understanding of the problems of the students in this stage through the study of the students' learning situation in this stage,so as to provide some countermeasures for the new teaching of the teachers.It is more conducive to the cultivation of students' regional cognitive ability.The author uses the time of students' self-study classes,and gives out 372 questionnaires,and 372 copies,of which 370 valid questionnaires,the effective rate is 99.5%.After the questionnaire was recovered,the author analyzed the data mainly through EXCEL software.After investigation,it is found that there are the following main problems in the training of regional cognitive ability of students in F middle school:teachers and students lack a comprehensive understanding of regional cognitive ability;the training mode of regional cognitive ability is relatively simple;the content of high school students' regional cognitive ability is unbalanced,and the training effect of high school students' regional cognitive ability is not good.In view of these problems,the author has carried out a certain cause analysis,mainly due to the negative tendency of examination oriented education;the teaching content of regional geography is not typical;the lack of professional literacy of geography teachers and the imperfect evaluation system of regional cognitive ability.In view of the problems found in the investigation and the reasons,the author put forward the following countermeasures:First:correct understanding of regional cognitive ability and understand the importance of its promotion.Second:adopt diverse teaching methods to improve students' interest in geography learning.Third,choose typical teaching content to show the main characteristics of the area.Fourth,create a real learning environment and create a life oriented learning atmosphere.Fifth:provide effective evaluation methods to enhance students' learning motivation in geography.It is hoped that this study can provide guidance and reference for the improvement of the regional cognitive ability of F middle school students,cultivate the core literacy of the students,and achieve the goal of educating people in geography education.
