In the context of population aging trend, the delayed retirement age policy is an effective way to cope with the pension payment pressure and maintain the sustainable, healthy and stable operation of the social pension. It is important to the development of the elderly human resources, improving the proportion of the working age population and extending the Chinese population dividend. The delayed retirement age policy,as a policy reform involving the interests of the people’s livelihood and members of society,it is necessary to take full account of the public’s willingness to accept and differentiate the policy so that the plan can be more thoughtful and acceptable to the various interest groups. This paper studies the willingness of Chinese labor to delay the retirement and its influencing factors. It can help policy makers to understand the willingness of social groups’ delaying retirement and correctly understand the factors that affect the willingness to retire,so as to help the government to scientifically develop delaying retirement age policy, resolve the public opposition, ease the contradictions and conflicts of interest groups, reduce the resistance of policy implementation. In this paper, descriptive statistics find that the ideal retirement age of the people is affected by the current legal retirement age. They have a higher degree of consistency. The current legal retirement age is generally higher than the ideal retirement age of the population, and the concentration of legal retirement age is higher. There is a serious institutional misplacing of the current legal retirement age in China. There is a large deviation between the institutional stipulation and people’s wishes.Compared to men, women are more willing to retire, but the agreement proportion of delayed retirement is even lower. From the sub-sample of age, education, income and unit type, the young, highly educated,high-income,unemployed and people in the public sector are less willing to retire and more hope to retire early;the older,uneducated,low-income and people who are employed in the private sector are more willing to retire later and less hope to retire early.Nearly half of the individuals choose flexible retirement.Women, young people, highly educated,high-income earners, private sector workers are relatively willing to choose flexible retirement. In this paper,we analyze the factors that affect the willingness to retire. From the point of whether or not to endorse the policy of delaying retirement age, gender, age, health status, household registration and leadership position have a significant impact on the individual’s attitude to the delaying retirement age policy.Compared with men, women do not agree with the delay in retirement age;older people are more supportive than the young people to delay the retirement age;people with good health status are more preferred to support the late retirement age policy than the poor health people;compared to rural household registration, urban household are more reluctant to delay the retirement age;the leader is more likely to delay the retirement age. From the point of whether or not we agree with the elastic retirement policy, gender, age and health status have a significant impact on whether individuals agree with the flexible retirement policy.Compared with men, women more agree with flexible retirement;young people are more willing to retire than the elderly;poor health individuals more agree with the elastic retirement. The conclusion of this study has the following important policy implications: Firstly, because there is a large deviation between the Chinese legal retirement age system and the people’s wishes,so it is imperative to adjust the legal retirement age.Secondly, the implementation of the delayed retirement age policy should pay attention to China’s national conditions.Chinese elderly women have assumed the obligation to care for their grandchildren.Although Chinese women are able to work longer years, but they are often faced with the need to take care of their families. So they often choose to retire early and against the delayed retirement age policy.Policy-makers can not wish to think that the same retirement age is the best policy choice.Thirdly, there is a need for a flexible retirement policy. The flexible retirement policy takes into account the differences in the willingness to retire between various groups. The incorporation of the flexible retirement policy into the retirement age policy can achieve the goal of delaying the retirement age and effectively resolve the objections of specific groups at the same time.
