Writing teaching is an important part of the Chinese language teaching in primary schools.Although there has been a lot of research achievements in academic circles,the present situation of writing teaching is not optimistic.Many studies force students to learn,which ignores the student’s dominant position.In practice,we find that students who are good at writing tend to be good at telling stories.So,we make a hypothesis that storytelling can improve the level of composition of pupils.The story is closely related to children.Many researchers have also noted the impact of the story on children.They have come up with some story teaching methods.But these methods are seldom about composition teaching.This study is just one attempt to apply the story to the teaching of composition.This thesis is divided into seven parts.The first part is the introduction.It mainly includes literature review,concept definition and research ideas and methods.The second part is the preparation before the study.It includes two things.One is the analysis of elementary school children’s story types,and the other is about the standard of composition evaluation.The third part is the determination of the object.We first carried out a questionnaire survey on the senior students of an elementary school and then analyzed the composition of the group.Finally,we determine the specific object of the study.The fourth part is the main body of the thesis.It is the process of intervening case.It includes the data collection of the case,the formulation and implementation of intervention programmer.The fifth part is the effect of intervention.Through analysis of the effect of intervention,finally we prove the hypothesis that the “storytelling” method can improve the level of composition of primary school students.The sixth part is the theory construction of the “storytelling” method.It mainly explores the relationship between this method and transfer theory and the basic principles of “storytelling” method.The seventh part is the reflection and prospect of the research.In this part,we points out the problems existing in the study and come up with the improvement idea.And finally,the prospect of the application of research result is put forward.
