Novel reading teaching is an important part of high school language teaching.With the deepening of the research on reading teaching in high school novels,the research on related novels has also changed from focusing on three elements to narratology.The new research results on novel reading teaching based on narratology have also provided new ideas and new ideas for reading teaching in high school novels.method.However,most teachers are still content with traditional novel theories.Reading teaching based on traditional novel theories still fails to learn from new theories.Some teachers have their own knowledge renewal and lack of academic level,and novel teaching still exists problems such as modelization and inefficiency.The ability of students to read novels still cannot meet the requirements of the General High School Chinese Curriculum Standards(2017 Edition).Take Tianshui No.1 Middle School as an example,it is found that although most Chinese language teachers pay more attention to novel reading teaching,due to the lack of theoretical reserve of narratology,novels are stereotyped.Although students have interest in novel reading,they do not have corresponding theoretical foundations and As a guide,concept can not properly focus on the elements of action and structure in the novel,time perspective and spatial perspective,narrative time and narrative voice,which seriously affect the improvement of students' novel reading ability.In response to the above issues,the following countermeasures are proposed by drawing lessons from narratology-related theories: using narrative structure theory to identify elements of action,summarizing structural patterns,and using narrative strategies to identify time and space perspectives,and using narrative discourse theory to grasp narrative time.Searching for narrative voices,and integrating instructional design cases from each theoretical level,specifically expounding how to effectively combine narratological theory with novel reading teaching practice.This may be an important way to update the teaching concept of traditional novels and improve the reading ability and aesthetic appreciation ability of teachers and students.
