Nowadays,computer technology in our daily life is developing rapidly,which provides us various options with studying methods.For example,MOOC becomes more popular in recent years in that MOOC can support us to do autonomic learning at different levels.However,users of MOOC have a large scale in their background and their learning needs.All users are using the same MOOC platform which concerns us:(a)Can the MOOC platform learning model fits all individuals?(b)Are all users ‘learning process is efficient by using the platform?(c)What factors are affecting user`s learning process ? To figure out the answers to the question,the research designs an experiment to observe user`s attention by applying Tobii Eye Tracker when they are studying on the MOOC platform using learning scaffolds,By doing so,it can be known that whether and how learning scaffolds will affect users`learning process,and furtherly explore the application effect with learning scaffolds in the MOOC platform.The research firstly analyzes and classified the types of users and learning scaffolds in which we sort out three factors based on user and two factors based on the scaffold and select three sets of eye tracking data to measure users` attention while studying on the platform :(a)the time when the user find their interest zone;(b)the number of fixation point before the user enter interest zone;(c)the total fixation time.The data respectively represents user`s learning initiative,enthusiasm and concentration level.Then arrive at that how the scaffold affects users' studying processby analyzing correlations pair-wisely.The research aims at the application effect of learning stents in MOOC platform based on eye-tracking technology and will be discussed in six chapters:The first chapter introduces the background and significance and the main content of the research.The second chapter reviews the relevant theories and concepts of this study,as well as the current research status at all over the world.The third chapter introduces the categorization of users and the scaffold as well as their theoretical basis and the reasons why there categorized in a certain way,and demonstrates specific instances that exist on the MOOC platform.The fourth chapter is this main body of the research that introduces pairwise analyses of two kinds of influencing factors and their connections with the three indicators.And try to put forward a conclusion based on the analyses,and explore whether two kinds of factors will have an impact on learners' attention.The fifth chapter is the discussion of the conclusions,and suggestions on the improvement of the scaffold.The sixth chapter summarizes the research and looks forward to future study.
