Research On The Management System Of The College Of European Medieval Universities(15th-16th Century)

As the source of modern universities,the medieval university was one of the most precious cultural heritages in the European middle ages.The organization and management system such as the concept of academic freedom and university autonomy,disciplinary division,college administration and professional training can be traced back to the medieval university.As for the college management system of medieval universities,which germinated from the end of the 12th century to the end of the 13th century and established in the 14th century,has basically perfected its internal management system in the 15th and 16th centuries.In this paper,the content and features of management of the college of medieval universities in various parts of Europe in the 15th and 16th centuries is discussed.The summary is made to enlighten the development of college management in modern universities.The college management system of European university in 15th and 16th century is discussed from the following aspects.The topic selection and research significance is presented in the introduction.Meanwhile,a review of the literature on the college management of medieval universities is made.In addition,the research approach and the research method will also be introduced in this part.In the first part,the origin and development of the college management system of medieval university is stated.Then the historical evolution of college management system is mastered by knowing the germination,establishment and development of college management system.In the second part,analytical investigation for the medieval European university in the 15th and 16th centuries is made.The medieval universities are divided into three categories and discussed in three chapters according to the production of college system and the different development characteristics of the universities in different regions.Firstly,the study on the college management system of the University of Paris in the 15th and 16th centuries is made.As the mother of medieval universities in Europe and the source of medieval university college system,a representative college management system was bom in University of Paris,and became a role model for the rest universities in Europe.Secondly,the study on the college management system of the universities from England in the 15th and 16th centuries is made.Through research and analysis,it is found that two distinct college management models have formed in England and Scotland.Both of these models have had an important impact on the subsequent development of universities and colleges.Finally,the study on the college management system in the Germany,Italy,Spain,and southern France,is made.In the third part,the characteristics and influences of the college management system in the 15th and 16th centuries is presented based on the in-depth knowledge,which also enlightens the college management reform in China.
