Campus ceremony is a procedural activity that occurs on a school field or organized by a school,and has symbolic,performing and cultural prescriptive at regular times and occasions.Campus ceremony can create an educational scene through a series of symbolic symbols.It displays specifically the educational ideas and values accumulated in the long run practice,so that students can be influenced imperceptibly under the rendering of ritual situations.Primary school campus ceremony can be divided into three types: ritual,ceremony and celebration,with the following five characteristics: Symbolism of meaning expression,the performance of the ceremonial process,the cultural stipulation of the ceremony content,standardization of ceremony performance and the educational nature of the intension of the subject.The primary school ceremony has the following educational functions: First,the formation of collective education consciousness and promotion of the organization cohesion;The second is to convey the core values and regulate pupils' behavior;The third is to create an educational situation to enable pupils to get emotional experience;The forth is to integrate the traditional culture and promote the construction of school culture.This study from the theoretical perspective of Collins' interaction ritual chains,combining with specific characteristics of the primary school ceremony,summarized the three key elements of primary school campus ceremony education function: the first is the focus of attention among students with each other;the second is high emotional joint among students;the third is the conversion of students' short-term emotional experience to long-term emotional energy.In this study,I selected two primary schools in F City,Anhui Province as study sites and observed the flag-raising ceremony,opening ceremony and the initiation ceremony of the Young Pioneers in the two schools.After the ceremony,I conducted interviews of some teachers,and randomly selected 500 students to conduct a questionnaire survey.In the investigation,it is found that the current primary school ceremony faced with the following problems in giving full play to the function of education: the first is the formalization tendency,and the student's emotional experience is missing;Second,there is no prominent student's main role in the ceremony;Third,Pupils lacked awareness of campus ceremony and were unable to integrate into ceremony situations;Fourth,there is a lack of evaluation links after the ceremony,weakening the ceremony's educational function.In view of the existing problems,this paper puts forward four ways to effectively play the educational function of the primary school campus ceremony: first,the ceremonies are should be carefully planned to highlight the educational significance of the ceremony;Second,enhance the emotional experience of pupils in ceremony;third,respect the dominant position of pupils in the ceremony;Fourth,pay attention to the continuation of the education after the ceremony.
