Comparison Of The Development Of Chinese Wushu And Japanese Karate In Bergen

Background:On the 4th of august,2016,Karate was approved to be the third Asian athletic program by all the members of International Olympic Committee,while Wushu missed the opportunity to be in the Olympic Games again.It demonstrated that the spread of Karate in the worldwide is more successful than Wushu.Norway,being asGoal: Trying to dig into the situation of the development of Karate and Wushu,learn from the success of Karate,offer suggestions for the spread of Wushu course,it would be very helpful for the international popularization of Wushu.Method: Using the method of literature,questionnaire survey method,interview method,comparison,The thesis is trying to study the situation of Wushu and Karate in Bergen,and learn from the success of Karate,to offer suggestion for Wushu course.The thesis shows that:1.in Bergen,there are 8 karate venues,526 students;two martial arts venues,86 students.2.Karate students accounted for 75.5% of the total number of local students,compared with 47.3% in martial arts;of which self-defense and self-interest motivation for learning,karate students was 65.0%,while martial arts was 29.2%.3.The relationship between teaching method and student's attitude towards them distribute in four kinds method,imitation method,the game method,the practice method and the multimedia training method,the numbers in Karate were 17.5% / 16.2,19.1% / 17.8%,26.5% / 23.9%,16.2% / 17.8%.In martial arts were 36.1% / 18.1%,15.3% / 22.5%,11.1% / 20.1%,5.6% / 16.7%.4.At present,karate practitioners in Bergen are more satisfied with training venues than martial arts practioners.5.Karate coaches diverse in many career,and mostly are local teachers,martial arts teachers' occupation are quite simple,and mostly Chinese.6.Karate promotion is mainly in the form of competitions,book video forms,online publicity forms,experiential class forms,and grade assessment forms.However,the main form of martial arts are online publicity and experiential classes.In conclusion:1.Bergen karate venues and trainees are more than martial arts;2.The proportion of local karate students is significantly greater than the proportion of martial arts,and take self-defense as learning motivation for karate students was significantly greater than the proportion of martial arts;3.Karate teaching methods used more balanced,the using of martial arts teaching methods is relatively simple;4.At present,karate practitioners in Bergen are more satisfied with training venues than martial arts practioners.5.Karate coaches diverse in many career,and mostly are local teachers,martial arts teachers' occupation are quite simple,and mostly Chinese.6.Currently in Bergen,the form of martial arts is quite simple while the form of karate propagation is abundant.
