As the result of the development of urbanization in China,the problem of the left-behind children is a major one related to the people's livelihood.Separated from their parents chronically,the most left-behind children are lack of the care and education of parents in the process of growth.In addition,restricted by the family economy and the rural education resource,the left-behind children are bound to be faced with lots of pressures and challenges in the process of growth.The resilience to make them deal with difficulties and adversities in life actively is essential for the left-behind children.Resilience as a necessary and important personal ability for left-behind children in rural areas,can helps them to face the adversity of life bravely,solve the problem of life.Therefore,this practice study focused on promoting resilience of children left-behind in rural areas,by launching a “Flying against the Wind” resilience developing group to exploring the effectiveness of group work in L Village,Wanzai County.The author investigated the current situation of resilience of left-behind children in L village through observation,interview and questionnaire to find the cause of weak resilience of the local left-behind children and analyze the demand.On this basis,author attempted to promote positive thinking and peer support for left-behind children in rural areas and taught them how to set goals,how to discover Family Support,and how to deal with emotional problems.strength perspective,optimizing internal and external factors of left-behind children resilience.By comparing the measured results of the resilience of the left-behind children before and after their participation in the activity,with the combination of the group interview and their change after their joining the group,some conclusions are drawn as follows.In terms of resilience,there are significant differences between the left-behind children and non left-behind children from L Village.The intervention of the group called “Flying against the Wind” plays a positive role in the improvement of the resilience of the left-behind children.In addition to the fluctuation of the score of the “Family Support” factor,the scores of the “Target Focus”,“Positive Cognition”,“Emotional Management” and “Interpersonal Assistance” factors of the group members have been improved greatly.The practical model can enhance the resilience of the left-behind children effectively.In this paper,there is a profound reflection on the process of the intervention of the group.Some advantages of the intervention of the group are analyzed such as peer acceptance,peer support and social experience.In addition,some disadvantages are pointed out such as the lack of the thoroughness of the discussion on individual problems and the lack of the intervention of external systems,which provides some ideas for the improvement of the resilience of the left-behind children at present.
