| With the acceleration of China’s urbanization process, the problems of rural leftbehind children, especially the psychological problems of rural left-behind children, are attracting more and more attention.Left-behind children in rural areas cannot get strong help and guidance from their parents when facing difficulties, and the sense of fear and powerlessness will increase, which will cause them to be unable to successfully survive adversity. This essay attempts to improve the resilience of rural left-behind children by intervening individual internal resilience factors through group work and helping them to cope with difficulties actively. This essay uses interview method, questionnaire survey method and group work intervention method to study the resilience of 65 rural left-behind children in M primary school in Henan Province.Firstly, the Healthy Kids Resilience Assessment(HKRA)was used to measure the resilience of rural left-behind children. The results showed that the resilience of rural left-behind children was not optimistic.Secondly, the attribution and demand analysis of the low resilience of rural left-behind children were conducted through field research and interviews,so as to find out the needs of rural left-behind children in terms of personal manpower and support. Then, according to the resilience of rural left-behind children and needs, group work intervention. In the formulation and implementation of group work intervention program, the internal elasticity factor of rural left-behind children is taken as the core of group work intervention.Firstly, the overlapping resilience factors in HKRA and Kumpfer’s resilience framework were selected, combined with the scope of researchers’ abilities,Spiritual dimension(positive cognition),cognitive dimension(ability to focus on goals),emotional dimension(ability to control emotions)and behavioral dimension(ability to communicate)were selected as the elasticity factors of group work intervention.Secondly,16 rural left-behind children with similar living backgrounds were screened for quasi-experimental research, and 8 rural left-behind children in the experimental group were involved in group work for the purpose of improving resilience for 7 times. The intervention content focuses on the four aspects of positive cognition, target focus ability, emotion control ability and communication ability, and focuses on the operation process and reflection of group work in the practice of improving resilience of rural left-behind children. At the same time,8 rural left-behind children in the control group were interviewed by telephone once a week, and the application effect of group work intervention on improving the resilience of rural left-behind children was verified.Through group activity evaluation(group activity content evaluation, group participation and satisfaction evaluation, group self-evaluation,dependant evaluation, social worker evaluation, etc.)and quantitative data evaluation(Experimental group pre-test and post-test comparison, experimental group post-test and control group posttest comparison, experimental group changes and control group changes),the following results were obtained in this essay:(1)Group work intervention can effectively improve the emotional control ability of left-behind children in rural areas;(2)Group work intervention can effectively improve the communication ability of left-behind children in rural areas;(3)Group work intervention can effectively improve the goal-focused ability of left-behind children in rural areas;(4)Group work intervention can effectively improve the positive cognition of rural left-behind children;(5)Group work intervention can effectively improve the resilience of rural left-behind children. When designing the intervention scheme of group work, researchers pay attention to strengthening the theme and theoretical support, which is also the reason why this practical research can achieve results. However, there are still some problems in this essay, such as short intervention period and limited intervention dimension.Based on this, the researchers will extend the intervention time of group work and expand the intervention dimension of group work,in order to achieve more significant results in the practical research on the improvement of resilience of left-behind children in rural areas in the future. |
