The Influence Of Extracurricular Mathematics Study On High School Students' Mathematics Core Literacy

Mathematics plays an irreplaceable role in human learning and life,and mathematics core accomplishment is a comprehensive embodiment of all aspects of mathematics.Extra-curricular learning as an effective supplement to classroom learning has great help for the development of students' mathematics ability.However,due to our country's focus on exam-oriented education,students' extra-curricular learning has been neglected.Therefore,it is of positive significance to explore the influence of mathematics extracurricular learning on the core qualities of high school students.The research questions of this study include:(1)What is the current situation of high school students' extracurricular mathematics learning? Is there any difference? What are the influencing factors?(2)How is the mathematics core literacy of high school students? What are the influencing factors?(3)Does math extracurricular learning have a significant effect on high school students' math literacy?If yes,which types are conducive to the development of high school students' mathematics core literacy?In this study,literature surveys,questionnaire surveys,and tests were conducted to investigate and study an ordinary high school student in Yunnan Province.Through the study,the main conclusions are: high school students' extracurricular study tend to do homework and complete learning tasks,preview review,sum up the wrong questions and knowledge points,and develop learning plans.The influencing factors are: class category,affection level,learning motivation,achievement;mathematics abstraction is generally better but the data analysis is different,extracurricular study of mathematics has a positive influence on the mathematics core literacy;doing homework and completing learning tasks,previewing,Mathematical knowledge contests,summing up thewrong questions and knowledge points have a great influence,among which summing up the wrong questions and knowledge points have the greatest impact.Studying the impact of high school students' extracurricular mathematics learning on their mathematics core qualities can help educators realize the importance of cultivating mathematics outside the classroom and promote the development of students' mathematics core literacy.
