As the most direct learning materials for students,Chinese language textbooks have a very important impact on the understanding of students' gender roles with their unique humanistic,ideological,emotional and visual characteristics,especially the understanding of women's images.The female images in Chinese language textbooks that are currently used in China are basically characterized by simple physical gender.The understanding of the characters in the process of teachers' lectures basically does not start from the perspective of gender.At present,there are many researches on women's images at home and abroad.The study can be divided into gender perspectives,aesthetic value research,emotional education value research,and multiple interpretations of female images in Chinese language teaching materials.These studies affirm educational value of the female images in the textbooks and also point out that there is a problem of prejudice between male and female characters portrayed in the textbooks.However,there is no specific analysis of the content.Therefore,this paper is based on comprehensive research and learns from previous studies.Of the current research on female images in Chinese textbooks for middle schools,the PEP is the most representative.Therefore,the article uses the female images in the textbooks of the People's Education Press as an example.The paper is divided into six parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the background and current situation of the study,and analyzes the conditions and significance of the female image in the middle school Chinese textbooks.The second part explains the theoretical basis and methods required by the dissertation.The third part counts the image of women in current Chinese middle school textbooks,including the proportion of their works and the characteristics of the role,and divided the text of the women's image into several types to analyze specifically.The fourth part mainly introduces the gender perspective to analyze the female images in the textbooks.The fifth part discusses the educational value of female images in Chinese language teaching materials in middle schools.The last part is the reflection and suggestion of the female image in the teaching material,which puts forward some problems in the female image of the teaching material and some suggestions for the preparation and usage of the teaching material in the future.The current statistics and image analysis of the texts concerning women's images in the textbooks of Chinese people's education textbooks are discussed in this paper.Their influence on students and their existing problems are discussed,too.On the basis of certain research,some suggestions for improvement of teaching and teaching materialsare also proposed.It is hoped that relevant researchers and textbook writers can think and study the current middle school Chinese language teaching materials and establish awareness of gender so as to improve the compilation of teaching materials and provide better curriculum resources for the training of high-quality personnel.
